Palestinian youth stand around a destroyed vehicle belonging to the Hamas movement now in control of the Gaza Strip in Gaza City. Gaza has been ruled since mid-June by the Islamist Hamas movement after its fighters overran security forces loyal to moderate president Mahmud Abbas who is also the leader of the Fatah movement.
