Palestinian relatives of Islamist Hamas movement member Fadi Hamadneh, 22, mourn following his death inside a Palestinian Authority (PA) prison on August 10, 2009 in a West Bank village near Nablus. Security officials said Hamadneh 'committed suicide' while Hamas insisted in a statement he died following 'brutal torture.' Hamadneh was arrested by the PA's intelligence services in June. Palestinian security services in the West Bank are dominated by Fatah, the party of Palestinian president Mahmud Abbas whose forces were ousted from the Gaza Strip when Hamas violently seized the coastal territory in June 2007.
