Palestinian Nasser Flefel, 37, carves wooden keys, representing the keys to the houses of Palestinian refugees which were left in 1948 and a symbol for the right of the return of refugees, in his wood-carving shop in Gaza City.  Hundreds of thousands of Palestinians were uprooted during the 1948 war over Israel's creation, and some 4.5 million Palestinian refugees and their descendants are scattered across the region today. Israel is marking its 60th anniversary today. Israel celebrates its 60th birthday, an anniversary that for the Palestinians, more divided than ever before and hungry for a state of their own, marks a 'catastrophe'.
